Finished an errand to deliver two violin bows for a friend to the public viewing venue of an auction house in London on 25Jun. I submitted the items to a young lady, and she can, by eye ball checking tell the two match the description in their previous record.
As a layman, except from color, all these fiddles looked similar to me.
So happen there was a public viewing of another auction house, because of proximity I also paid a visit.
Both are online auction instead of onsite, else I will be there, as a silent viewer.
Below are websites of the auctions, one of them show the amount of each item. It is amazing all these valuable fiddles are placed on desk for playing. Though no mention on competent player only, I guess its the default.
